Some transformations are cosmetic. This one was structural: philosophically and literally.
When PAPER interior design studio took on P25’s new global headquarters in Perth’s CBD, they inherited a 5,557sqm former food court on Level 3 of a commercial building. Raw, voluminous, industrial. Rather than gut it, they worked with it, retaining the native structure, salvaging furniture and fittings, and applying what they call a material minimisation approach. The result won the 2025 IIDA Global Excellence Awards Corporate Space category and they were shortlisted for the Australian Interior Design Awards.
It’s the kind of project that earns those accolades. Urban placemaking principles, 1,600 plants, custom rugs designed in collaboration with CC-Tapis and Mobilia, prefabricated timber meeting pods, a cantilevered switchback staircase as the centrepiece. A warm, considered counterpoint to the raw industrial bones of the building.
And running through the breakout and meeting spaces: NOROCK’s Lunar self-stabilising table bases in White and Sandstone Black.
