Nando’s Knox in Victoria, Australia combines layered textures, custom joinery, art, and lighting to create a space that’s comfortable, full of character, and built for everyday dining. Our NOROCK Esplanade x-bases and Trail T-Bases are used throughout the quick-service restaurant, keeping tables stable and wobble-free.
The first thing you notice inside Nando’s Knox is texture. Studio Y has worked with natural materials and tactile finishes to add depth to the interior without it feeling busy. Timber, masonry, and soft upholstery sit alongside patterned surfaces and artwork, creating small moments of visual interest around the restaurant. It’s the kind of interior that reveals more detail the longer you sit in it.
Custom joinery is a key feature of the fit-out. Banquette seating, counters, and shelving have been designed specifically for the space. This gives the interior a tailored feel and helps the restaurant operate efficiently, with clear zones for ordering, seating, and circulation. INDETAIL’s build quality is evident in these elements — precise lines, neat junctions, and well-resolved details.
Lighting has also been carefully considered. Warmer tones soften the interior and highlight texture, while focused lighting over tables creates comfortable dining zones. The combination of ambient and feature lighting helps define areas within the restaurant without relying on barriers or signs. It’s practical for service while still adding character.
Among these design elements are the functional components that keep the restaurant running smoothly every day — including tables that don’t wobble.
